Monte Forte in Macau is a part of one of the most ancient fort buildings in China. It takes a Western style and that brings an amazing colonial charm.

This fort building has been built in the 16th century. Although it was primarily constructed by the Jesuits, it then became a centre base of defence activities.
Monte Forte today
Today, it’s an awesome tourist attraction. It’s an integral part of the Macau Historic Centre. It’s open for visitors daily from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm.

Here, you find the public park. The observatory and the Macau Museum. At the top of the Monte Forte, you find the garden and you can get a beautiful panoramic view of the Macau landscape once you are there.
