Many royal palaces were built during the Joseon Dynasty, but the Gyeongbokgung Palace is the largest out of all. It was also the first to be built.

This massive royal palace was built in 1395. Seoul was known as Hanyang at that time and this palace was known as the heart of the town.

5 other Grand Palaces were built during the same era, but this palace is the best in every aspect. The other palaces include Changdeokgung, Deoksugung, Changdeokgung and Changgyeonggung.
