Desert safaris can be a fun and exciting adventure. But there are a few things you need to pack to ensure your safari experience will be nothing short of entertaining and memorable.

Omani desert
One of the many things to do in Sohar, is to embark on a desert safari. Many hotels in Oman such as Al Wadi Hotel are located in close proximity to the Omani desert, where desert safaris can be arranged.
Clothes
As it can get extremely hot during the day, it is recommended that you wear loose cotton clothes, preferably of lighter colours – although white clothes are always the best option since it absorbs less heat! Avoid wearing dark coloured clothes to maintain your body temperature.
Items
Temperatures in the desert can soar to around 50 degrees Celsius, so always remember to apply a good layer of sunscreen. Cover your head with a cap and wear sunglasses. Your safari provider will provide you with water and food during your trip
Cold
You should also keep in mind that the desert can get extremely cold at night, and if your safari takes place in the evening, then you will need to pack a few jackets and scarves.
