Catching the Show
The largest permanent lighting and music show on the planet, this show is at Victoria Harbour nightly at 8:00pm and lasts for around 10 minutes. The best vantage point is the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, a 10-minute walk from Park Hotel Hong Kong, while you can also see it from Wan Chai’s Golden Bauhinia Square.
What to Expect
A Symphony of Lights features lasers, searchlights, LED screens and other lightings that are synchronised to a special score. Easy to enjoy for those at Tsim Sha Tsui based 4-star hotels in Hong Kong, the show features over 40 buildings; located on both sides of the harbour, they are lit up as part of this light and music spectacular.
Buildings & Music
The show illuminates many key city structures like the HSBC Building, Bank of China Building, IFC towers and Hong Kong Cultural Centre. The soundtrack was created by the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and blends traditional elements including Chinese instruments and contemporary styles to create a unique score.
Taking Boat Rides
For a different perspective of A Symphony of Lights, you can take a boat ride in Victoria Harbour during the show providing 360-degree views; some cruises come with servings of cocktails and drinks or dinner. You also have the option of a cruise on a traditional red sail Chinese junk which will add to the experience.
