Sri Lanka, especially the hill country, is blessed with many amazing waterfalls. Diyaluma Falls located in the Badulla District is one of the most significant out of the rest.
What’s so special about Diyaluma?
Diyaluma Falls in Ella is 220m in height and is the second-highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. It’s also one of the most scenic waterfalls in the country, and indeed, a great tourist attraction.
The hike up to the waterfall
As suggested by many online sources such as Truly Sri Lanka, a hike up to the waterfall is one thing you can try out when you visit Ella. The hike, of course, calls for some sheer strength, but you’ll never regret it for sure.
The natural infinity pool
On the very edge of the Diyaluma Waterfall is a natural infinity pool. Yes, you can have a safe swim here and enjoy the moments, while enjoying the great views from around.
Be careful- always!
As mentioned, you may enjoy swimming here and you may see many others doing the same. But remember that there are no safety guides or tools if something bad happens. You should be careful about your safety!
