The history of the bridge
The river was indeed an obstacle for transportation between the cities, and ships were the only possible option. However, after 1000 years of suffering from the unavailability of a bridge, finally, this massive bridge was constructed in 1957.
About the bridge
The bridge is more than 1600 m long and is divided into two levels, the upper one for busses and the lower one for trains. This bridge is very firm that even the massive Wenchuan Earthquake couldn’t harm it in 2008.
