The village is home to over 25 ethnic minorities who have their own unique architecture, traditions, beliefs and even their very own dialects. Well, know ethnic groups include the Zhuang, Mongols, Manchus, and the Tibetans while minority ethnic groups include the Bai, Dai, and Miao among others.

Things to see
Each individual village offers something unique and different such as their own temples built in varying designs. Carvings with zodiac signs and animals such as the exquisite tiger illustrations, done by the Yi are displayed along with cultural showcases such as the peacock dance performed by the music-loving Dai.

The park is situated in the suburbs of Kunming province, right on the shores of the stunning Dianchi Lake. Interested tourists can reach the cultural hotspot directly by the bus lines 24, 73 and 94.
