Bandarawela
This is the second largest town situated in the Badulla district. Since the town is at a high elevation, the weather conditions are always favourable all year round, making it a very popular tourism destination on the island.

The town and her surrounding areas also bear a lot of historical significance, with a choice of heritage sites to explore. The Dhowa Rock Temple, Adhisham Bungalow, and St. Anthony’s church are two of the most significant places of historical value.
Porawagala
Situated just three kilometres away from the town of Bandarawela, and if you enjoy being in the tranquillity of nature, this is definitely a place for you. It is a beautiful hilltop that provides spectacular views of the surrounding areas, and is pretty much always secluded.
