Machboos is the national food of Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait. The highlights of this amazing dish are the richly seasoned rice with scrumptious pieces of meat. This delicacy is somewhat similar to Biriyani. The Qataris may also call it ‘Kabsa’. Meats such as camel, chicken, beef, shrimp and goat can be used to prepare Machboos.

There is a special spice mixture in which the meat is to be seasoned before frying. The rice is boiled in chicken broth with a few spices added in as well.
