The height of the Baiyoke Sky Tower is a mighty 309 metres, and if you count the antenna that sits on top of the tower, it is 343.35 metres in total.
Structure
The tower has 84 storeys itself along with a skywalk that lets you look out of giant windows and out over the city. The view is mind-blowing at night when the city’s lights are twinkling far below you.
Location
Many a boutique hotel in Bangkok can be found around the Baiyoke Sky Tower, for example, the Maitria Hotel Sukhumvit 18 is not too far from the tower. Taking a sky train from any part of the city and getting off at Chidlom Station will mean you’d just have to walk a few minutes to get to the tower.
Why you should visit
Apart from the usual shopping, food and entertainment, any mall offers, the Baiyoke Sky Tower also has an observation deck that lets you look over the city from the 84th floor of the building. This observatory deck is open from 10am to 10.10pm every day.
