Bamboo Island, one of the most picturesque islands in Thailand, is situated in the north-eastern part of the Phi Phi archipelago, about 5 km from Koh Phi Phi Don’s northern point. Bamboo Island boasts stunning vistas and a serene environment. Here are some facts to know before visiting.
Fun things to do
You can do many things here at Bamboo Island during your memorable Phi Phi Island resort vacation. The most popular things include snorkelling, swimming in the sea, sunbathing and bar hopping. You can also visit the many beautiful beaches here and even explore the famous Viking Cave.
How to reach here
Waterways link Bamboo island to the other islands that make up the Phi Phi archipelago. From Tonsai village pier, take a speedboat to Bamboo island, which will take you there in about 40 minutes. Alternatively, you can reserve boat cruises that make a sightseeing stop at Bamboo Island.
The best beaches
Ton Sai Beach is a must-visit. Why? This beach, which has a 600-meter shoreline bordered by enormous rocks, is one of the least visited beaches on the Railay peninsula. On the beach, rock climbing is the main pastime, and there are numerous rock-climbing trails. Additionally, there are shacks where you can rent rock climbing equipment. Swimming is not possible here at low tides since the water gets quite shallow and the beach is very stony.
Places to stay
There are many boutique resorts and luxury resorts around here that you can stay in for the duration of your visit. You can find comfortable accommodation with modern amenities such as WIFI, air conditioning and comfortable beds for affordable rates. If you want a more sophisticated option, you can opt for luxury resorts such as SAii Phi Phi Island Village.
