Apart from its sandy beaches and picturesque hills, Quy Nhon also features several temples and towers from the ancient Champa kingdom. Here are a few well-known temples in and around Quy Nhon that provide a glimpse into the unique culture and history of the Cham people.
Thap Doi Towers
If you don’t want to stray too far from the city, then the Thap Doi towers are the most accessible, located just off the city centre and a short drive from nearby hotels like Avani Quy Nhon Resort. These twin towers are situated within a city park and feature an architectural style similar to that of Angkor sites.
Thap Banh It
This is a group of four Cham towers situated elegantly at the top of a hill. Although they are further away from the city you can still visit from your hotel in Quy Nhon, Vietnam. Each tower has a unique architectural style, yet they are designed specifically to draw the eye to the main tower.

Vijaya Citadel
This is one of the most important of the Cham towers since the site was the capital of the Cham Kingdom from the 11th century to 1471. While little remains at the site, it is still worth visiting as are the village settlements that surround the area.
Canh Tien Tower
The name of this tower means ‘fairy’s wings’ referring to the tower’s resemblance to a fairy rising to the sky when observed from a distance. Since not many tourists visit this tower, it is a great spot for peaceful exploration.
