A modern city that has been constructed in 1970- Moranbah is today a sophisticated town with every required facility. It’s also home to over 9000 people now.
The history of the town
Before the Europeans decided to settle in Moranbah, this area was home to Aboriginal people. The Utah Development Company developed this city later in 1970 as a coal mining town.
With all necessary facilities such as a state school, hospital, high school, and a railway network, Moranbah today is a well-developed city. Thanks to many Moranbah service apartments the likes of Oaks Moranbah Suites this area has now become tourist-friendly too.
The main attraction in the town is the Town Square Park. The Bridled-Nailtail Wallaby Sculpture and the Musical Playground are some of the interesting things inside the Town Square Park which can be equally enjoyed by the adults and kids.
Other worth-exploring experiences
Those who want to explore more during their Moranbah days can simply head to the Peak Range National Park which is a scenic attraction in the same district. Travellers can also explore large mines in the area which are home to many spectacular operations.
