Make sure you plan a visit to the pristine surroundings of Lake Tai, which affords the ideal locale to relax with friends and family. Of special note is Turtles head Isle, which also offers an idyllic ferry ride to the Sanshan Islands, which were open to the public in the mid-80s. The panoramic park in the middle of the island is a very popular tourist draw and the best time to visit is during springtime, when the months of March and April are witness to the vibrant blooming of the cherry blossom trees. Stroll through well maintained paths that will take you past quaint little tea houses, idyllic pavilions, with the Brightness Pavilion offering some of the best views of the island. Posing for a quaint picture are around eight ancient fishing boats on the late, which presents an excellent photo opportunity. The park also boasts some excellent restaurants if you are feeling like lunch or tea or dinner and a nifty monorail will spirit you around the park if you don’t feel like walking. So grab your family and friends and head over to Yuantouzhou if time permits.
