However Ni Ulantari’s unwavering faith in Lord Shiva and prayers to the God of Mercy results in Lord Shiva sending magical Legong dancers to earth to rectify the situation. Commonly used symbols in Bali theatrical productions come in to play here with the county’s fascination with mythology and magic also playing a central role in the execution of the plot.
