A little ways north of the town of Krabi in Thailand, you will discover an archeological site of wonder and enchantment, Lang Rongrian Cave, a smallish limestone cave. The cave was once a burial ground and interred skeletons dating back 37,000-40,000 years back to the Pleistocene era. These findings are believed to be some of the oldest human remains discovered in Thailand. Other interesting objects of antiquity have been unearthed as well, such as shells, pottery, and an assortment of other things. When you get here, you will be greeted by kids who make their pocket money by showing tourists the cave. A fair price to pay here is around 20-30 Baht, as it does not take a lot of effort to be shown around, but hey, you need to do your bit to support local small businesses, right? Happy spelunking!
