Just as impressive as the Petronas Twin Towers, the Menara KL Tower is amongst the main attractions in Kuala Lumpur which offers spectacular views and fun visitor experiences.
Planning a Visit
This landmark lies in the Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve, easy to reach from a service apartment KL has to offer in the Golden Triangle area. Open from 9:00am to 10:00pm daily, it’s close to properties like Ascott Kuala Lumpur and can be reached via the Dang Wangi LRT Station or Go KL City Bus (Purple Line).
Unique Design
Opened in 1996, the Menara KL Tower spans 421 metres in height and is the tallest telecommunication tower in Southeast Asia. Its architecture has been influenced by the nation’s Islamic heritage and features Islamic floral patterns and tiles as well as Arabic scripts, while a local spinning top was the inspiration of the tower’s pinnacle.
Amazing Vistas
Amongst the tower’s main allures is its Sky Deck which offers breathtaking panoramas from 300 metres above the ground; also here is the transparent KL Tower Sky Box which extends out the ledge and provides a feeling of walking on air! There’s also an observation deck (276 metres) for more inspiring city vistas.
Other Attractions
Dining experiences with unique views await at Menara KL Tower’s Atmosphere 360, a revolving restaurant 282 metres above the ground as well as its Sky Cafe KL Tower. Nearby attractions like the KL Tower Mini Zoo, Blue Coral Aquarium KL Tower, KL Upside Down House and Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve are nearby too.
