Pura Samuan Tiga is a historically important place for the Balinese. Flanked by the Pande and Tegending rivers, this is the place where the oldest Balinese Hindu ritual takes place every year. The Siat Sampian or the Sampian War takes place on the 10th full moon day and lasts for about 7 hours. This is truly a unique event and should not be missed if you happen to visit this beautiful isle during the month of April. The ‘war’, as it is famously dubbed, brings together dozens of females and over 200 males to celebrate this annual event.
