Design
Anyone can identify upon first glance the similarities the tower possesses to the Burj al Arab. The structure clearly resembles a ship’s sail, and pays tribute to the many ships that journeyed from that location to explore the world and establish the first global empire.
The Views
As you would have expected, the tower offers panoramic views of the surroundings, especially of the Tagus River. If you have arrived in search of adventure and staying at one of the hotels in Lisbon Portugal located in the close vicinity such as Tivoli Oriente Lisboa Hotel, then be sure to take a visit.
Urban Climb
In 2006, famous Urban Climber Alain Robert, known as the ‘French Spiderman’, climbed the tower completely unassisted with nothing but a bag of chalk powder and climbing shoes to aid his ascent.
