Curries
Spices are used in abundance for most of the curries prepared by Sri Lankans. Some of the curries such as fish ambul thiyal are prepared using a recipe that has been passed down for generations. Try the chicken curry which has different flavours from the Indian chicken curries.
Dhal curry is loved by all; this is accompanied with rice, bread, string hoppers and much more starchy food. Apart from these the brinjal pickle, green jackfruit curry and coconut sambol are some of the must try dishes.
