Built in the 17th century by Imam Bil’ arab bin Sultan and his brother, Imam Saif bin Sultan, the An Naman Castle is a fascinating site worthy of a tour. There are many Oman hotels in which you can seek accommodation while visiting this castle amongst which Desert Nights Camp is a recommended hotel in Oman that caters to all the needs of its discerning guests. Featuring a small courtyard with large shady tress this place was used until very recently as a resting and meeting place for travellers as well as for armed forces. The rooms are furnished with floor coverings, cushions, furniture and household good s while a few glass cases showcasing traditional silver jewellery can also be seen here. However, the most fascinating factor about the castle is that it has its own falaj which runs through it from Habra just outside Nakhal. Although it is dry now, one can only imagine the true glory that the castle must have emanated during its prime.
