Angurukaramulla Temple; A religious fortress.

Angurukaramulla is located in the east of Negombo and about 3 km away from town. Thus is only a 7 minute tuk ride from the town. Main features
The temple features a magnificent dragon entrance with the glorious view of a 6m long reclining Buddha statue. Further the temple contains ancient murals painted on the walls dating back to the ancient centuries. There is also a historic library undoubtedly over 300 years old.

Right next to the temple there is a stupa. The interior of the stupa is decorated with murals and wonderful carvings on the walls. There is a beautiful stupa inside the stupa making it a unique feature of the premises.
