While Mui Ne in Vietnam may be well-known for offering a coastal escape, it’s also home to two other sand-based attractions; when here, don’t forget to visit the White and Red Sand Dunes!
Stay by the Beach
Ideally, look to be based at a Mui Ne resort beside the beach; this way you can not only easily access the dunes, but enjoy water sports like kitesurfing and visits to the ancient Cham Towers. Most properties will offer excursions to the dunes which are quite convenient too.
White Sand Dunes
You can start the day by heading to the White Sand Dunes from properties the likes of Anantara Mui Ne Resort; get to the site at dawn to witness an enchanting sunrise. Before the heat of the day takes effect, you can walk along the vast dunes, take a ride on a quad bike or even signup for a hot air balloon tour.
Red Sand Dunes
As the day draws to a close, make your way to the Red Sand Dunes which are also within easy reach of Mui Ne Beach. The reddish-hued sand forms the perfect backdrop to catch a magical sunrise offering some great Insta pics too. For something fun, you can rent a sled and go sand-sledding down the dunes!
The Fairy Springs
Often included with a visit to the Red Sand Dunes is a stop at the nearby Fairy Springs; it features a shallow stream surrounded by intriguing rock formations, lush greenery and red and white dunes. Amongst the best things to do in Mui Ne is to take off your footwear and just wade through the stream.
