The 5-acre park on the mainland of Penang State, built in 1988, is the first and largest bird park of its sort in Malaysia. It is home to a collection of over 300 kinds of birds from across the world, including more than 150 Malaysian species.
About the park
The two geodesic domes and the two enormous walk-in aviaries house hundreds of domesticated birds, providing visitors with treasured memories and thrilling experiences.

The park, which was designed with gardens in mind, is proud of its stunning landscaping, which includes magnificent collections of hibiscuses, orchids, bamboo & ornamental plants. Flamingo Cottage
The restaurant at Penang Bird Park is called Flamingo Cottage, and it’s right next to our gift shop. They provide mouth-watering western cuisines, such as the famous chicken chop and grilled fish.
Concession Stand
Crafts made with skill are available in the souvenir shop for customers with various tastes. There are amusing yet informative toys and sculptures, vibrant fridge magnets, and handcrafted items with Southeast Asian themes, including Malaysia’s well-known pewter goods.
