Rose Water Distilleries
From March till the middle of May each year, Damask roses can be seen blooming on the mountain slopes. Some resorts offer special tours of local distilleries to witness the traditional process of how these Damask roses are used to create fragrant rose water that is said to have healing properties too.
Wadi Bani Habib
Another key attraction is Wadi Bani Habib; it is set amidst pomegranates trees and walnut groves that add to the site’s charm. Ideal to visit for those who enjoy hikes, one of the distinct features of this wadi is that you will also find an abandoned village at the bottom of the valley which is worth exploring.
