When one thinks of Seychelles, idyllic images of windswept palms and white sandy beaches are conjured. Here are some great tips that will make your holiday in a tropical paradise even better!

Beach Access
The good news for all you beach bunnies out there is all beaches on Mahe, the capital of the country are open to the public! There are no strips exclusive to resorts as such, so you won’t be shelling out cash to lounge about on pristine shores.
Accommodation
While finding an affordable Seychelles beach resort might be a bit on the difficult side, there are many self- catering apartments, villas and chalets available. Do book them well in advance to avoid any issues.
Dining
If you are staying at a self-catering accommodation, consider bringing your own groceries as there are not many stores to shop at. There are only a few restaurants and they happen to have erratic hours as well. So, if you do wish to have a meal out, consider visiting a hotel such as AVANI Seychelles Barbarons Resort & Spa.
Transport
The cheapest way to get around Seychelles is to use the public bus service. The fare is just 5 SCR but is warned they are not for the faint-hearted. Taxis can be insanely expensive and set you back a considerable amount of money. So, do think about renting a small car as it’s the best way to explore the island!
