The Feira da Ladra which translates to Market of the Female Thieves is a bi-weekly market held in the Alfama district of Lisbon.

Despite its name, there are no thieves here. The flea market is a safe place to walk through and browse for souvenirs or any knick-knacks.

You can visit the market on Tuesdays and Saturdays, from 8 am to 5 pm. Though it lasts till evening, by early afternoon, you can be assured that all the good bargains are long gone. Therefore, if you want to grab the best deals, visit in the morning.

The market is located on Campo de Santa Clara, in close proximity, approximately 10 minutes from Tivoli Avenida Liberdade Lisboa and many other hotels in Lisbon Portugal.
A great bargain
Known to be the oldest fair in the city, dating back to the Middle Ages, at Feira da Ladra, you can find numerous items from vinyl records, antiques, book, old cameras, black and white pictures, and magazines, to name a few.
