Completed in 2009, the Sultan Qaboos Mosque is the principal religious focus in Salalah. Its striking interior is the main draw for tourists.
Design
The massive crystal chandelier suspended from the exquisitely designed dome and the carpet that weighs 20 tons are the main attractions; the carpet has 115 million knots and is handwoven. The purpose-built ground provides visitors with a peaceful atmosphere where they can relax in meditative silence.

Just 12 minutes from properties like Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara, the mosque is situated at a very convenient location, making it an easy journey for tourists visiting Salalah; you can also find quite a few amazing Oman restaurants in the vicinity.
The Sultan Qaboos Mosque is open to non-Muslims. Tourists can visit the mosque from 8 am to 11 am from Saturday to Thursday.
Dress code
A modest dress code is advised, and female visitors are expected to cover their hair.
