Overview
If you want to walk through a natural history book, the history of this land is one that dates as far back as 100 million years ago. Together with Lamington, Main Range, and Mount Barney – these make up the Gondwana World Heritage-listed area that attracts over two million visitors each year!
Short walks
If you’re looking forward to a short walk – then you must take the Twin Falls Circuit – a walk that takes roughly about 2 hours. At the end of the walk, you can dip in one of the rock pools and admire your surroundings. Purling Brook Falls is ideal for those looking to take some great Instagram snaps – the walk is a 4-kilometre return and you’ll be rewarded with a dramatic view of the waterfall.

Long Walks
If you’re into serious hiking, then you must give the Gold Coast Great Walk a shot. It takes roughly three days and you’ll be covering a total of 54 kilometres, surrounded by ancient flora and fauna the entire time. Make sure you make an early start from Avani Broadbeach Gold Coast Residences which is less than 50 minutes away or any of the other Broadbeach hotels so that you are fully prepared and have a clear mind before you begin!
