The Kalutara Bo Tree

Since this Bo Tree is one of the saplings of the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura, it’s being worshipped by Buddhists from every corner of the country. It also holds great historical value as it has been planted in the 2nd century BC.
The Stupa
If you have visited some other Buddhist temples, you will surely see a big difference in the stupa you find in Kalutara. It follows a hollow structure, and not many such stupas are there in this whole world.
