Overview
Flowing through two districts in Sri Lanka – Kalutara and Ratnapura – Kalu Ganga covers a large area of 2,766 square kilometres. The abundant water supplies along the way, particularly those of Sinharaja Forest Reserve, continue to nourish this river along its journey toward the Indian Ocean.
Go Canoeing
While holidaying at one of the Kalutara hotels the likes of Mermaid Hotel & Club, one of the best things you can do is to enjoy canoeing on Kalu Ganga. The serene atmosphere of the river will engulf you and steep you in a calmness like never before.
