Staying true to its name, the Silk Street Market Beijing mainly comprised of traditional Chinese silk, exquisite handicrafts, and many imported commodities. Until 2005 it was an outdoor market and now this market offers a lot more than silk. You’ll find a wide variety of goods such as bags, shoes, clothes, pearls, and souvenirs. This newly-developed huge shopping store has three lower-level floors, five floors covering an area of 28 000 square metres.

Going in
Those who wish to enjoy shopping in ultimate Chinese style should visit the first and the second floors of this market. You’ll certainly spoilt for choice with many designer clothes available on these two floors. In addition, there are belts, handbags, a nail salon, and cafes. Even though the market features a diverse collection of goods, the most attractive goods are ‘silk’. These exquisite silk products are sold on the third floor.
